Source close to Kevin Ollie says he plans to visit with Lakers in coming weeks about head-coaching job. Meeting not yet set up but expected.

Im sure people have been giving you hell about it – but what do you think now that Mr. MDA has been cut loose?

      • Daryl Peek

I defended MDA and his offensive style simply because that is the way the league is going. Dominant PG play is what you see winning everywhere except Miami but that’s only because they have the best player in the game in LeBron. B. Scott, Mark Jackson, Ollie, Cal, ETC… all coach PG heavy offenses. This is why the FO chose MDA as they were thinking like that with the CP3 deal and then Nash as the constellation to the nixed CP3 deal. almost every HC candidate is cut of the PG dominated mold. This is the conflict/delusion most who argued with me about MDA can’t or don’t want to see.

All of that said, I was never a MDA fan I just understood what was really going on in the thought process of the FO, as they have been done with the twin tower post up game since 2011. My hope is GS nuts up and fires Mark Jackson. He’d be my first choice to replace MDA.

        • comrade24

completely agree. Lakers fans can be so myopic and as soon as MDA got chosen over Phil suddenly D’Antoni was the worst coach in the history of coaches. Hitler had a higher approval among lakers fans than MDA, and most of it was just bs mob mentality.

Were calling out the masses. Haters in 5, 4, 3, 2….

btw looks like you’re getting your wish. just got a sportscenter update that Mark Jackson has been fired by GSW

            GO GET’EM LAKERS

Jerry Sloan is the man for the Job in my Opinion.

    • Devon Samuels²⁴

      im with you there!

    • comrade24

Jerry Sloan wouldn’t deal well with the media attention in LA. He hated it in Utah, and it was UTAH. Great Coach, but pointless to dream about that. He’s not interested in coaching and wouldn’t be a fit for the culture anyways.

      • Daryl Peek

Exactly! People are a trip. Sloan was too old school for Darren Williams and the youngsters on that Jazz roster, he was basically forced out after Williams bounced.

        • comrade24

It amazes me some of the comments on here. One guy was actually suggesting we sign Rudy Gay. Yeah, let’s pay him over Lance Stephenson or Luol Deng. Makes perfect sense. smh Some people, i swear i wonder how they ever found their way out of the womb.

      • AGATHUSIA

WHAT ABOUT EX DENVER COACH CARL ?

        • comrade24

I think he’s a great coach but when i look at the teams that he’s coached they’ve all been younger, run and gun teams. Denver most recently, but remember the Sonics of old when they had a young Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton. I just don’t think his style would fit our aging roster. Also, we need to have someone who will bring stability to the coaching staff and be there for awhile. It’s one of the reasons the FO is taking their sweet ass time making a decision. George Karl’s health issues could be a problem down the road, or sooner, who knows.

I just want to see Pau and Kobe play some more together.
