nah. it’s all about b scott!

      • lkrwr

        hope not…

        • Deone

I agree…he’s peaked as a coach…let’s not forget 22 losses in a row an all time NBA record.

  • LakersHeatBeef

Mitch Kupchak should jump in as the new Lakers head coach according to some posters on here and elsewhere well i would be fine with that. But it’s up to him and Jim Buss on whether or not Mitch Kupchak will ever coach the Lakers or not.Seriously he has done it all in the NBA just never been a head coach.

Lakers still with no coach… waiting for their draft pick….. wtf

How about Michelle Obama’s brother, Craig Robinson, who coached at Oregon State… I’d sign him to a one year deal with some excellent assistant coaches… or at least make him an assistant coach….

Since Lakers failed to hire Steve Kerr, we need to settle with some of the sub-par coaches out there…J Van Gundy would be best next year!

I would hire George Karl for the following reasons, for one he’s missed one playoff appearance since the 80′s is ridiculous. He got coach of the year 2013 and his winning record speaks very highly. He’s got second most wins in franchise history behind Doug Moe. Yes he’s never won a title but he’s probably the best at building something special in the future. Personally, I would rather have a coach with years of experience and a high reputation at coaching. Who knows, they might be a chance at even having Carmelo Anthony playing for him again.

The worst choices for the Lakers are Jeff Van Gandy and Byron Scott.Yes, both of them has taken their teams to the Conference and NBA finals, but the negativity is a lot more in their Resume. We need to hire a coach, who have a plan and work on installing a new program here.We don’t need to hire another M.D’Antoni type of coach, who may be fired in a year or so. We need a coach for a long run.
Ettore Messina, Linel Hollins and Quin Snyder are my choices.
