Lakers Nation Wishes Nick Young A Happy 29th Birthday

Lakers Nation would like to take a moment to wish a very happy birthday to Nick “Swaggy P” Young, who turned 29 years old today.

In only his first season with the Lakers, Nick Young was one of the few bright spots and quickly became a fan favorite. Growing up a Lakers fan, Swaggy P fully embraced the fans and the city of Los Angeles on-and-off the court.

While it was a difficult season, we weren’t quite sure what Young was going to do on a nightly basis and he provided that much needed element of surprise. Along with all those 40-point games off the bench and four-point plays, Young also provided some laughs with his missed 360-layup and celebrating after he thought he made a three. If you somehow don’t remember, here’s a picture:

Happy Birthday Swaggy P. Wishing you the best birthday ever and am hopeful that you are able to stay a Laker. However, you also need to get some D and assists going son. Hope you work on that this summer and the Lakers choose to keep you around. Your a good fit with Los Angeles and I hope you will be convinced to stay.

Who the hell is 29 years old? Not anymore. I began being a Lakers fan in 1962 and nobody I knew then was 29 years old. A word of advice, stop counting or you’ll be a 76 year old Lakers fan like me. Live long and prosper. My best to you and the ones to come. You’ll be a Laker forever.

lakers quit being “Cheap” for someone that you may not even get, start putting your team together now and face 2015 when it gets here otherwise you may be on the outside looking in again, sign “Swaggy P” to a multi-year contract, that he deserves, your Cheap-skate attitude is going to put a bad image on the team and the FO, snap out of it, your Dad would not approve of the way or direction you are heading with the team.
