There are many names rumored to be headed to Los Angeles, but nothing can be said with certainty until the dotted lines are signed. From LeBron James to Carmelo Anthony, this free agency class is loaded and the front office is hoping to land some of the marquee names.

Lakers Nation News:

Carmelo Anthony will meet with the Lakers next week.

If the Lakers can’t sign Melo, they’ll pursue Trevor Ariza, Kyle Lowry, Greg Monroe, and Channing Frye.

The Lakers believe re-signing Pau Gasol can help lure Carmelo Anthony to Los Angeles.

The Lakers did not extend the qualifying offer for Kent Bazemore.

Julius Randle would rather play against LeBron James.

The Lakers used their two picks on Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson on draft night.

Randle has a 9-1 odds of winning Rookie of the Year.

Mitch Kupchak expects Kobe to reach out to the marquee free agents.

Kupchak does not see Randle needing foot surgery.

Byron Scott believes Randle can start for the Lakers next season.

Steve Nash understands why the Lakers would want to trade him.

Kobe plans to meet with Carmelo Anthony.

Nick Young showed his appreciation for the #STAYSWAG campaign.

Young did, however, opt out of his contract.

Byron Scott is the leading candidate for the head coaching job.
