James Jones is one of the best shooters in the NBA but he never plays.Honestly Rajon Rondo used to be one of the worst shooters in the NBA and he is a all star.So shooting means squat. In this draft Marcus Smart is a good shooter from 2 point range it’s his 3 pointer that needs to improve.Dante Exum is not a good shooter from 18-24 feet but he can improve with reps.Aaron Gordon is a terrible shooter but he can be more of a Dennis Rodman or Kenneth Faried type hustle player on the NBA level.Doug McDermott can shoot lights out but he is the Kyle Korver of this draft and that’s not a compliment because you don’t draft Korver in the lottery.Noah Vonleh can shoot the ball all day long he is in the Chris Bosh category and Anthony Davis level so he is a must have player.Andrew Wiggins can’t shoot a lick but he is a good defensive player with insane athletic ability that translates to another Scottie Pippen on defense but offense Wesley Johnson.Jabari Parker can shoot the ball like a young Carmelo Anthony that is a good thing.

I pick Marcus Smart for the Lakers.Magic Johnson and Dwayne Wade,Jason Kidd all improved their jump shots as will Marcus Smart. He has the fire in his belly of Kevin Garnett.Marcus Smart will be much like pre injury Derrick Rose they both needed to work on their jumper coming to the NBA.Will be the Damian Lillard of this draft make the Smart choice.

agree… competitive drive is an innate virtue… they don’t grow on trees… best choice on this draft workout is Smart, second is Gordon, the Vonleh.

Yeah me too, my first choice is Marcus Smart then Aaron Gordon and then Vonleh..

I’m getting big on Gordon because of his defensive presence and his interview. He has the personality that succeeds.

IF lakers drafts smart, I am hoping that nash can mentor him to improve his PG SKILLS especially his eye sight is limited for a point guard and his 3 pt shooting(nash specialty is passing and 3pt shooting and of course free throws(50-40-90 club) which are the weaknesses of a marcus smart) and then to be better, KOBE WILL mentor him post ups and mid range(kobe will have no problem against smart coz he also has the ”work ethic” which kobe loves to see in his teammates)…sign and trade hawes for asik and troy daniels…..get love and keep a trio of KB-KL-MS/PAU

Gasol as PF? Not sure that’ll work.

      • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

agree… Gasol cannot play the PF anymore… too slow… he needs to play Center… let go of him, if we can get Asik… let Hill play the starting spot and get a decent PF like ed DAvis to split remaining minutes with Kelly…
