Lakers Nation Remembers Those Lost on 9/11

On this day ten years ago, the United States of America was forever changed.

Four hijacked planes attacked New York City, the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville, Pa. The terrorists killed thousands of innocent lives and emergencies workers passed away trying to help their fellow Americans.

On this tenth anniversary of September 11th, 2011, we here at Lakers Nation commemorate who lost their lives and those who help in the aftermath.

Memorials have been held all across the country and a new World Trade Center Memorial was unveiled today in New York City. Although the construction of the Freedom Tower is well under way, the events that took place on September 11th, 2001 will never be forgotten.
