If you are a true Laker fan then obviously you would hate the fact that Fisher is gone!

Wait a second… I love Fish, he has be a great asset to the Lakers!!! But, has everyone forgotten that he left LA to go to Utah??? It was business when he left and was business when he got traded… His jersey will be in the rafters at Staples, that is how he will be honored in LA

    • Tynivinnie

He left to Utah because his daughter had medical conditions for a 1-2 years.

Silencing the strong locker room voice. Derek Fisher we bid you farewell, if we meet again we’ll smile indeed, if not this parting is well made. Just they says it is only business.  Well the mighty Jim Buss strike again. First Lamar Odom then Derek Fisher who’s next Kobe Bryant.

If Fisher’s jersey isn’t retired, I’m switching teams and rooting fo the Clippers!

Okay, I’m lying, but still… come on, Jimbo.  The moment Fish retires, his jersey better be up there, otherwise I’m buying nose bleed tickets and putting up there myself!

Dude really. If you were a true lakers fan you wouldn’t be saying if fishers jersey isn’t retired I’m switching teams. If his jersey isn’t retired I don’t care. I will be a lakers fan till the day I die!

Bad Move. He’s retiring. We already got Sessions. What more do we want? We already can win the ring with that.

  • Kobetheking

yea definitely fish jersey should be retired and when he retires he should be allowed to retire a laker point blank period

  • Jeshegabmigs

C’mon guys, NBA is a BUSINESS… NBA PLAYERS are employees of the TEAM… Though, Im surprised that they traded DFish to ROCKETS… Thanks DFish for the good memories… We will miss you…

  • Chigarc

    D. Fish will always be a part of the laker family!!!!!!!!!!!

As much a i liked fisher, i dont think they are going to retire his jersey number…  :(

    • http://www.facebook.com/Corey.The.Artist.Hill Corey Theartist

I think they will, because that 0.4 shot could potentially be argued as one of the greatest shots in lakers history, thats what will be the deciding factor. He wasn’t a drop 30 points kind of guy, but he used to be fairly consistent, a good support guy, and damn when we needed the clutch he had the license to kill.

these make me cry. me and d fish share the same birthday. i always liked him because he was my height, and didnt go the route of the traditional point guard. i gunna miss him like crazy, and only look back on his time with the lakers with fond memories. he was a tough big-balled mother f@&*er! that being said, the lakers did nothing but positive things with all their trades today. good stuff guys. but jim buss is still a freaking tool!

Oohwee I want that intensity from gasol at the end of the video against the celtics, phew hes a bad bad man, and he needs to remind us why he used to be feared.

  • Lucas

.4 is something I will NEVER forget. and yes, his number should be up there.
