With another disappointing season over half way completed, the Lakers are at a crossroads. The team committed over $100 million to the likes of Luol Deng and Timofey Mozgov, but both have been displaced in the starting lineup.
As the trade deadline nears closer and closer, rumors have surfaced that the Lakers may look to unload some of their veterans in order to free up playing time for their young core. It only makes sense that the Lakers would look to trade the likes of Lou Williams, Nick Young, Deng and Mozgov.
The most tradable out that of that group appears to be Lou Williams, who has shown time and time again why he won Sixth Man of the Year in 2015. He is also on a very cheap contract, and any team that trades for him would get at least one more season at a discounted rate.
The Lakers will look to trade Deng and Mozgov but the chances of the team being able to find a taker on those contracts is slim to none.
