Lakers Nation March Madness Update: Sweet Sixteen

With two rounds down in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament it’s time to take a look at the updated standings in the Lakers Nation March Madness pool. As I’m sure you’re all aware, the winner of the pool receives the Meister Black Mamba watch, while second and third place finishers receive autographed cards courtesy of Panini America that feature Jerry West, Kobe Bryant, and Magic Johnson.

Here’s an updated look at the Lakers Nation bracket standings after the first two rounds of the tournament:

1st: SwtNShyBoi29
2nd: lagirl
3rd: shanecraig

Both SwtNShyBoi29 and lagirl picked Ohio State to win the tournament, while shanecraig selected the University of North Carolina to win the championship.

For all the Lakers Nation citizens who selected Pac-10 teams to advance far into the tournament, that may have been a poor choice. While UCLA and Washington both won their first round games, they both lost in the second round to higher seeded teams. The only Pac-10 team left in the tournament is Arizona, who will play Duke in the Sweet 16.

The highest ranked member of the Lakers Nation staff is Kevin Chan, who is currently sitting at 96.0%.
