2010 NBA Champion LA Lakers - Kobe Bryant Celebrating His Fifth NBA Championship

LakersNation.com is shooting a reel to illustrate to the rest of the world what it means to be part of one of the largest fan bases in sports.

We need die-hard fans, young and old, that have stuck with the team throughout the years, especially during team’s recent rough patch.

We are looking for those fans that disregard the criticisms and the idea of “tanking” during this tough season. Lakers Nation wants real fans to appear on camera and show their true colors for the purple and gold.

If you want your voice to be heard, submit your entry to lakerfansubmission@gmail.com. We will review all the submissions and reach out to those who have been selected.

How To Submit:

  • Must live in the Los Angeles area.
  • Submit a one-minute personal video explaining what it means to be part of Lakers Nation.
  • Include any Lakers gear or memorabilia you have to show off.

——— Or ———-

  • Write a 250-word minimum testimonial explaining what it means to be part of Lakers Nation.
  • Include any pictures of Lakers gear and/or memorabilia you have to accompany your text.

So, if you think you’re the biggest Lakers fan and want the rest of the world to know just how deep your passion for Purple & Gold runs, make sure to enter our contest, and you might have the chance to proclaim your Laker love to the entire Nation!

Thanks for restricting it to LA. Glad to know you don’t care about your fans in other areas/states.

^^^Given the required minimum qualifications, you, Lakernation, will miss the ‘most passionate fan’ by a mile!

Just to give you an idea, I’m traveling in Europe and have no Laker memorabilia, nor do I have any pictures.
I’ve been a fan since I was 10 years old. When, on an old B&W tv, we watched the artistry of Wilt, West, Baylor weave the magic that cemented the Laker ‘mystique’ for generations to come, I was hooked!

With your restrictive requirements, you are excluding an exorbitant number of passionate fans that love, support and cheer their Lakers despite being unable to buy Laker ‘gear’.

Or maybe the whole exercise is to sell more ‘gear’.
I had hoped better than that when I saw this headline.
