My predictions for the top 14 are this.
    1.Cavs Joel Embiid
    2.Bucks Andrew Wiggins
    3.Sixers Jabari Parker
    4.Magic Aaron Gordon
    5.Jazz Noah Vonleh
    6.Celtics Julius Randle
    7.Lakers Dante Exum
    8.Kings Marcus Smart
    9.Bobcats Doug McDermott
    10.Nuggets Gary Harris
    11.Sixers Dario Saric
    12.Magic Zach Lavine
    13.Timberwolves James Young
    14.Suns Nick Stauskas

Orlando gets their forward at #4 Aaron Gordon and point guard at #12 Lavine.

      More like wishful thinking

It’s not too unhopeful, it’d satisfy every team before us needs. We don’t have to worry about the Cavs, Bucks, Sivers, Jazz, or Celtics taking Exum. It all comes down to who’s on the board when Magic pick and whether or not they want to go with a PG, especially an international one.

        • Clint

Greetings, yes my way of thinking was the Magic are trying to build something very special in Orlando so they would draft Aaron Gordon at #4 to assure themselves a one of a kind athlete and player and then at #12 with their other pick they would select the best athlete Point Guard the draft has seen in years that being Zach Lavine a steal at #12.This way the Magic would get the best of both worlds drafting a excellent forward and a top 5 rated guard.

Magic would look athletic and great on fast breaks.
          Point Guard Zach Lavine UCLA
          Shooting Guard Victor Oladipo
          Small Forward Tobias Harris
          Power Forward Aaron Gordon Arizona
          Center Nikola Vucevic USC

          PAC 12 finest in Vucevic,Gordon,Lavine.

    • independentbynature

All indications are that Orlando will pick Exum.No way he drops to seventh.

      • LakersHeatBeef

I agree Orlando is likely going all in for Dante Exum.Although i have heard widespread rumors that they have liked the idea of drafting Marcus Smart since last year. But that is probably no longer the case as Dante Exum has far surpassed Marcus Smart in the eyes of the NBA GM’s and scouts. So yeah Exum to Magic.Just my 2 cents.

      • comrade24

Even if the Magic didn’t take Exum, the Jazz would definitely not pass on him, neither would the Celtics. People need to give up on Exum. If he ends up being special, we’ll look at him later in FA.

        • lunchbox

sound Laker fan logic, “we’ll wait for him to be available in 5 years and make a run” lol

          • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

and what is wrong with that? that’s the reason there is free agency… all teams and GM’s look forward to it.

    • Lunchbox

wow, this is beyond dumb. This is basically like any other mock draft except you have the Magic reaching for Gordon at 4 just so Exum would drop to the Lakers. Garbage wishful thinking. Exum wouldn’t drop that far. Jazz would take him as well as Boston. Magic also already have a hyper atheltic SG that can’t shoot in Oladipo

    • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

I can’t see the logic in this draft board… Exum will not go past the Jazz… most likely he will land in Orlando.

  • Clint

My draft board is like this based on talent not on how i think the teams might pick.

    1.Aaron Gordon
    2.Andrew Wiggins
    3Joel Embbid
    4.Noah Vonleh
    5.Jabari Parker
    6.Dante Exum
    7.Julius Randle
    8.Zach Lavine
    9.Dario Saric
    10.Marcus Smart

    • Tune

Then it’s not a draft board, it’s a power ranking. Why exactly would Gordon got first overall and Smart 10? Plus the fact that you have the Celtics picking up a second PG.

    • Phillybaum81

Nonesense. Pure garbage assessment dude. Aaron Gordon??? What planet are you from??? quit whatever it is you’re smoking dude..Now…Pronto!!!

      • Randle is garbage

Guy is a tweeter with no defense! Too small to play pf but slow to play sf. He would be an awful pick for the lakers!! Period.

        • Dubz

No defense? Then you haven’t seen Aaron Gordon play.

  • Randle is garbage

    Ibha

  • Randle is garbage

I hate how all mock drafts got lakers taking randle. Dude has a low ceiling, is not too tall, has small wingspan, cannot defend, is acclaimed as a banger but ah hello most dudes in the NBA are bigger!!!also most importantly rankle canny shoot the basketball!!!! Wtf y would we want this guy! I rather get vonleh or smart . Even sarin would be better. Randle is garbage and the lakers would be stupid to pick this tweener homlessman’s zack randolf? I mean he’s not even close to Zbo !!!! zbo can shoot and could shoot when he came in . Done with these morons picking random at 7 . I almost rather trade back and or trade the pick away before we pick him

    • Tune

I hope we get Exum, Vonleh, or Smart personally. Don’t want Randle, I’d rather take Saric over him.

    • Spitfire

7’0 wingspan is not short. Read the latest

    • komaja

Funny guy. If you think Julius Randle has a low ceiling, you must have not watched him play at all OR you’re just straight-up biased. This guy has a high motor and if you want instant offense, you got it with this guy. It’s very rare in today’s NBA that you have a back to the basket type of basketball player and Julius Randle is that type of player. As far as his jump shot, you seriously think he can’t improve or develop that? There’s always room for improvement and to imply he’s a lost cause when it comes to improving his game is just crazy. As far as defense goes, Randle has the potential to be a reliable defender because of the effort he puts into the game. If he puts a lot of effort during games he’ll put a lot of effort improving his game. He might not become the best defender ever but he can certainly be a reliable one. From watching him, this guy plays HARD and COMPETES! Stop with all the hateful comments because the top 3 bigs or PFs that we can get at #7 have the potential to be great. My preference if we go for any of the 3 PFs if they are still available are:

      1. Julius Randle
      2. Noah Vonleh
      3. Aaron Gordon

      • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

AGree with you on Randle… the kid got heart, and always competes with the ball every time. Kobe will love this kids mentality. And he is only 19, with already a go to move, how many 19 year olds players today who can say about that?… it’s ignorance to say he can’t and will not improve his game at this age, this kid will go far than Imbiid or Parker.

  • Nalin Shukla

    Exum Gordon or smart simple!

    • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

Exum will not go past Orlando… be real… Gordon and Smart maybe… but Randle, if he is still available with the 7th pick.

      • Nalin Shukla

You never know Bennett kwame olawakandi were #1

  • http://rantsofascorpio.wordpress.com/ Evan

I guess I’m not understanding the fascination with Randle. From what I’ve read he’s a one dimensional player who lacks size. Why wouldn’t the Lakers pursue a PG (Smart) and then go for Love in 2015?

    • LAstory

The front office MAY believe that they are serious contenders in getting Kyrie or Kyle Lowery.. is my guess… I just having a feeling that Boston is going to trade Rondo (finally and for a early first round pick in this years draft) and select Marcus Smart, Danny Ainge has been drooling of him these past few months…. just my opinion…

    • Zimmeredge

One dimensional? He can rebound on both ends at a high level. He can score down low at a very high percent too. That´s already two dimensions. Then he can shoot the ball pretty well from the perimeter. And he can drive thanks to his ball handling skills. He pushs the ball on transition… He was meant to do rebound and interior offense in Kentucky because they had young and the Harrison bros to shoot from the outside and in the perimeter. It was all about balancine the offense. He is really not a zach randolph 2.0

    • Tune

It depends really, if Kaman or Sacre develop into tough players that can play good defense then definitely go for a PG in the draft then Love. If not, we have to go for a good defending PF with Gasol at the C while picking up Irving if we can.

      • Adrian

Kaman devolops?? Dude is in his 30s so what you see is what you get.

        • Tune

Never too old to become more aggressive, just look at him near the end of the season when he started to be a starter, dropping high points at good fg%.

          • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

Kaman has been in the league 12 years… he is what he is…

          • Tune

But the Lakers got a new player development guy this season and you can’t discount him going off that stretch of games when he finally started. Dragic is 28 and he’s having a career best season. LeBron is 29 and he’s expanded his game this season. It’s ignorant to believe players can’t improve. There are physical limits of course, but you can become mentally strong especially as you age. If Kaman plays as hard as he was when he was putting up 20pts+ then he definitely develop into a stronger player.

          • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

I say again, he is what he is… peak of ones NBA career is from 25-30… Kaman is definitely out of his peak years… big men peak early and aged early, their huge body takes more toll on their bones… it’s different with smaller players, they usually have longer careers…except for Kareem…

      • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

KAman develop into a tough player??? what are you talking about?

  • connor

We should draft marcus smart, i love watchimg him play, defensive minded and has great work ethic

    • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

I will have no problem us drafting Smart or Randle or Gordon… if they are available…. we will see.

  • LakersHeatBeef

I have a idea who the Lakers will draft and it is Noah Vonleh that scares the hell outta me as i am completely not sold on him.But i hope he pans out if we get him.

    • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

If he is available when we pick, why not. He;s got huge upside already at his age.

  • aslpride

My pure opinion: Based on mock draft. If the players has been taken according to the list above, then I would prefer Lakers FO focus on Center. So far, 2014 free agents showed that there are plenty PF that can give Lakers a leverage in offense and defense. For center players, very few available that can give a leverage in offense and defense. If Jusuf Nurkic will still be available when Lakers’ turn to pick, then I would prefer Lakers to pick him. His weakness is minutes due to foul issue. That issue can be fixed by coach and Kobe mind meld mentality to him. However, he’s little bit slow and 60+% FT is somewhat unfavorable, but we had Dwight and Shaq with bad FT percent. I think it’s not an issue. Positive side about him, his wingspan is 7’2″ is a plus. He also can do mini skyhook. ;) What do you think?

    • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

As a rule in the draft… you draft according to the best talent on the board, not on positional need… those needs can always be filled through FA.

      • Tune

You mean best potential mixed with what you need

        • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

that’s a losers mentality… Lakers have always drafted with the best talent available…

  • craig jones

gotta go back, Kareem, Nixon, Silk classy guys that can shoot , get a team of quality people so that when a Magic man comes along the chemistry is their, and I’ll say, because I’m biased Payne or Harris, would be a pair I would want.(Appling)
