The Los Angeles Lakers could be without two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol on Tuesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a toe injury. Gasol suffered the injury in the loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and underwent an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPNLosAngeles.com, Gasol will be a game-time decision on Tuesday:

Gasol’s injury is the latest in a seemingly endless string of injuries for the Lakers this season. Along with Gasol potentially out against the Cavs, Xavier Henry has already been ruled out with the knee injury that has kept him sidelined for the last six games. Henry will also miss the matchup with the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday in the second game of the back-to-back for the Lakers.

As the Lakers continue to try and survive through the injuries, the team will hopefully see Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash return after the upcoming road trip. Bryant and Nash have been on the shelf for quite some time, leaving the Lakers without the veteran leadership in the backcourt. The two veterans were expected to keep them afloat and in the playoff conversation in the Western Conference, but their absence has proven costly.
