Lakers Injuries: Farmar, Blake Out for Next Two Games

The backcourt for the Los Angeles Lakers continues to be ravaged by injuries with all of the point guards on the roster currently on the shelf with the exception of newcomer Kendall Marshall.

Fortunately, the Lakers might not be thin at point guard much longer with Jordan Farmar and Steve Blake potentially nearing a return. Both veterans were cleared for basketball related activities according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

With the two veterans still on the shelf a little while longer, Farmar and Blake have been ruled out for the next two games against the Indiana Pacers and Charlotte Bobcats:

Along with Farmar and Blake getting closer to returning, an update was also given on Steve Nash’s status on Monday. Head coach Mike D’Antoni was hopeful to get Nash back on the floor against the Pacers on Tuesday, but that will not happen with the two-time NBA MVP tweaking his back recently.

So with Farmar, Blake and Nash still out of the lineup, Marshall will continue to shoulder the load as the team’s floor general moving forward.
