Lakers Hire D-Fenders Asst. Clay Moser as Advanced Scout

According to Inside Hoops the Los Angeles Lakers have hired L.A. D-Fenders associate coach Clay Moser as an advanced scout for head coach Mike Brown.

Moser has spent extensive time evaluating talent, serving as an advance scout for the Cleveland Cavaliers (2009-10), Orlando Magic (2007-08), Sacramento Kings (2006-07) and Golden State Warriors (2002-03) at different points in his career.

D-Fenders head coach Eric Musselman was happy to see Moser receive this opportunity with the Lakers. “We are extremely happy for Clay to receive such a tremendous opportunity with the Lakers,” Musselman said. “Clay is a great basketball mind and I am confident he will serve the Lakers well.”

Moser was also an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs summer league team back in 2005.
