We here at Lakers Nation know that Fantasy Basketball is a huge part of the culture in being a fan of the NBA. So for those of you that are currently in a league, and looking for some ways to improve your team, we’ve put together a list of players you should consider picking up this week to make your team that much better.

Point Guards

Nate Robinson – He’s been playing some pretty good basketball over his last few games. In his last stint he scored 16 points, grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, and stole the ball four times. He’s been fairly consistent, and can be very useful in deeper leagues.

Reggie Jackson – The more minutes that Brooks gets, the more effective he has been. Over his last five games he’s been averaging a shade under 15 points and 4 assists. He’s an up-and-coming young point guard, and continues to get better and better as he gets more minutes.

Shooting Guards

Ben McLemore  – The rookie has been playing phenomenal as of late and is really getting into the swing of things. He’s certainly worth taking a look at, as he is going to continue to get better as the season progresses.

Alec Burks -His offensive game has been flourishing as of late, as he’s averaged a shade under 20 points per game over his last five. The opportunities are certainly going to come in Utah. They’re a young team that is essentially trying to figure out who their best players are.

Small Forward

Wes Johnson – With Kobe Bryant returning, the player that can perhaps benefit the most from his presence of the court is Wes Johnson.  The forward is going be expected to get a lot of wide open looks, and he’s already a consistent contributor in rebounds, steals, and blocks at the small forward position.

Otto Porter -The rookie recently made is season debut, and with Martell Webster set to miss some games he should get some pretty solid minutes.

Trending down: Tony Snell

Power Forward

Amir Johnson – The Rudy Gay trade allowed more touches for the power forward against the Lakers on Sunday night. He scored 32 points, and grabbed 10 rebounds in the first game without Gay on the team. He’s due for some increased production.

Taj Gibson – The Deng injury has allowed Gibson to flourish. He’s averaged 21 points,  eight rebounds, and right under 2 blocks over his last five games. He is a must-grab if available in your league!

Trending up: Markieff Morris, Trevor Booker

Trending down: Jordan Hill

Center

Jason Smith – In his last four games, he averaged 8.3 points, 10.0 boards, 0.5 blocks and 0.5 steals in 32.8 minutes while filling in for the injured Anthony Davis. Smith is worth a grab certainly if your team needs a big man.
