Lakers Draft Madaubum and Majok with 56th and 58th Pick

With the 56th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft , the Los Angeles Lakers selected Chukwudiebere Madaubum from Nigeria. Madaubum last played for the NBA D-League with the Bakersfield Jam.

In the D-League, he averaged less than a point and less than a rebound, and wasn’t much of a factor for the Jam. Madaubum does not ring a bell for many fans, and people are unsure what he will provide for the Lakers. The 6-9 forward will most likely see himself back in the D-League unless he shocks the Lakers’ coaching staff.

With the 58th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers selected Ater Majok from Sudan. Majok once played for the University of Connecticut, but decided to leave the States after one season

This was the Lakers last pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, and now they will begin to evaluate the players to see if who will make the team roster.

Last season the front office was blown away by the play of second rounder rookies Devin Ebanks and Derrick Caracter, and they eventually decided to bring the players along for the season.

Now with four second round college/international players looking to make the roster, the front-office will have to make a decision as to whom to keep and whom to cut.
