Lakers, Clippers Ticket Prices Affected by Blossoming Rivalry

With the Lakers set to take on the Clippers tonight at the Staples Center it’s interesting to take a look at how the revamped L.A. rivalry has impacted ticket prices this season.

Below is a graphic that indicates the prices of Lakers vs. Clippers tickets and how they are changing for each matchup this season. As you can see, the price of the games where the Lakers are the home team are significantly higher than where the Clippers are home. In fact, the price difference is over $100 on average.

Tickets for tonight’s game between the Lakers and Clippers, where the Lakers are considered the home team, are selling for 5 percent less than the Lakers home average, while the two games where the Clippers are considered the home team are selling for at least 14 percent more than the Lakers home game and at least 99 percent more than the Clippers home average.

These games are obviously very hot tickets in Los Angeles with both teams fighting for city dominance, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any tickets still available. You can go see the Lakers and the Clippers play this season, as there are still plenty of tickets available, some for as low as $60.
