Lakers Announce Signing of 2012 Draft Pick Robert Sacre

The Lakers announced the signing of 2012 second-round draft pick Robert Sare today. Sacre was drafted by the Lakers with the 60th overall pick in the draft.

Sacre played his college ball at Gonzaga, and finished his college career ranked second all-time in school history in blocked shots (186).

He also averaged 9.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, and was named the 2012 WCC Defensive Player of the Year his senior season.

He also played with the Lakers’ Summer League team in Las Vegas this season, where he started all five games and averaged 9.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and one block per game.

This follows the signings of Reeves Nelson and Greg Somogyi earlier this week.

    I love the signing, as I believe Sacre showed a lot of promise as in Summer League, and appears to be a skilled, more than capable backup center. I would really like to see the Lakers sign DJO. I know he disappointed in Summer League, but I feel like he has a lot o potential as well. If I were to compare him to another player, I would say he’s Jason Terry (great shooter from long range, can score in bunches) and plays defense like Westbrook in the Olympics. He’s super-athletic, and is built like a brick. By the way, is Sacre’s contract guaranteed?

    I know dis is about Sacre but how in the hell did we manage to sikp Josh Selby in the 2011 draft i like morris i think the kid has a shit load of talent but Goudelock over Selby hell no i think Selby will be the next star to cum out of the second round

    non garuntee  contract , this is just for training camp , those 2 new signing  have to battle for a roster spot vs DJO & SACRE I believe that theres 14 people on the roster garuntee so far i may be wrong , but other than that im sure
