Kobe Bryant has been on a roll, scoring 48 points against the Suns on Tuesday and 40 points against the Jazz on Wednesday. Regarding his injury, Kobe said “I scored back-to-back 40′s with a (bleeped)-up wrist,” “What does it matter if it’s still (bleeped)-up in the playoffs?” It’s no wonder that according to a recent pole on ESPN Kobe Bryant is the most popular NBA player in the country. In fact, Bryant is the most popular athlete in the US, second to (no not him………………………….no not him either……………………………………….). Oh yeah, him…

Veteran Point guard Steve Blake fractured the cartilage that connects the rib to the sternum in Tuesday’s win over the Suns and further aggravated the injury in Wednesday’s victory against the Jazz. He is listed as day-to-day and will be re-evaluated very soon. This puts the Lakers in even more dire need of additional help at the Point Guard position.

The NBA All-Star ballot has been live for a week now, and if the voting ended today current Western Conference starting team would be Clippers Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, Kobe Bryant – no surprise there and Andrew Bynum – who would be a virgin to the all-star team.
