2016 Lakers Summer League

The Los Angeles Lakers 2016 Summer League Schedule is set. The Lakers will be officially tipping off the first of three preliminary NBA Summer League games on Friday, July 8 at 7:30PM against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers are guaranteed to play no fewer than five games, and all games will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Highlighting the preliminary game set will be the match-up of the top two picks in the most recent NBA Draft. First overall draft pick Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76’ers, and second overall pick Brandon Ingram of the Lakers will see action against one another on Saturday, July 9 at 5:30PM. The Lakers will then conclude their scheduled games with a contest against the reigning Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors, on Monday, July 11 at 7:30PM.

At the completion of the preliminary games, all teams will be seeded in a tournament format. Tournament games will begin on July 13, and conclude with the championship game on July 18.

Time Warner Cable SportsNet will be offering comprehensive coverage of the entire tournament, broadcasting all three Lakers games live, with pregame shows scheduled 30 minutes before each game, and an entire hour of post game coverage. Additional television coverage of the Lakers and the tournament can be found on Time Warner Cable Deportes, along with ESPN and NBATV.
