Kobe Contest Details in Video & Below!

Script:

The All-Star Western Conference Players have been named, and Kobe Bryant will play in his fourteenth game ever. This will be Andrew Bynum’s first appearance on the all-star court. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant round out the team. Think of it as the US annexing Hawaii.

The Eastern Conference will be represented by Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade. Looks like it’s Florida Vs. Los Angeles. Why bother getting anyone else?

Well, Kobe’s never been known for his modesty. So when asked about the fact that he is only sixty-nine points away from outscoring Shaq, it’s no surprise that he replied, “It was inevitable.”

Andrew Bynum poured gasoline on trade rumors when he said that if the team doesn’t play well during it’s upcoming six game roadtrip, then the Lakers might start “looking around.” Bynum didn’t provide any details. But the Lakers have inquired about Kenyon Martin who has been playing basketball in China after the lockout ended but was recently granted clearance to play by FIBA. Martin averaged eight point six points and six point two rebounds per game in forty-eight appearances for the Nuggets.

Onto a new segment of the show called “Deep Thoughts with Metta,” Metta World Peace was interviewed by the LA Times and when asked what he thought about road trips, Metta thought the reporter said roaches…. as in cockroaches. And he actually answered! Check it out:

For you Droid users, Lakers Nation has a new app for you! I have the “App for L-Nation” on my iPhone, and it’s great for when you’re bored in an elevator or when you’re being forced to watch a Clippers’ game.

Tonight you can watch the Lakers play the Nuggets for the second time this season at 7:30 pm on ESPN. Let’s hope tonight’s game goes a little smoother than last time when Kobe missed four of his five shots in the final three and a half minutes, giving the Nuggets a victory of 99 – 90.

Saturday at 6 pm, the Lakers face Utah for the third time this season and hope to earn a third win against the Jazz.

Guys, I leave you with a challenge. I want you to tweet me and LakersNation pictures of your best Kobe face. The winner gets this autographed Kobe card… Tune in next week to see the results. To get you started, here’s my Kobe face…
