So For a player who is supposed to be washed up, too old, and at the moment, one hand-ed Kobe Bryant has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week. Bryants hard work helped lead the Lakers to a 3-1 record, As they took on the Rockets, Trailblazers, Warriors and finished off on Sunday night with there 6th win at home against the Grizzlies. Kobe averaged 33 points and 6 assists and This is actually the 27th time he’s won the award, only one player has won the award more times, the greatest himself…thats right Michael Jordan…now if he keeps this up the Lakers might not need a Point Guard after all…I’M ONLY JOKING…

Its actually outrageous how bad the Lakers are in need of a point guard, now many fans and the press continue to pursue the idea of obtaining Dwight Howard. And that would be a colossal transaction, but that’s what they WANT not what they NEED. A true PG like Deron Williams is what according to Mark Heisler of LakersNation is exactly what the organization needs to grasp elite status in the Western Conference

Lastly, The Lakers will soon be playing the Dallas Mavericks on January 16th . they haven’t seen each other since the Mavs swept the Lakers in last years playoffs. So in honor of welcoming back Lamar Odom we are going to be giving away tickets to the big game with the help from our new partners at TiqIQ.com. To qualify all you have to do is visit us at LakersNation.com and score a 10 or more on the Ultimate Fan Quiz.

I agree 100% that the Lakers need two things… One thing is a true, young, fast, great point guard… The second thing is a replacement super star for an aging Kobe…Third certainly Dwight over Andrew would be a good thing but the point guard is the more important thing right now…

The Lake Show is old, slow & overpaid & all that needs to be fixed. The Lakers shipped out Shaq meaning they need to ship out some more of the older over paid guys… World to the Nets for nothing more then 1st round draft picks… Pau to the T Wolves for Love. (Who will not sign a long term contract with the T.Wolves) & so on…As I have said over & over, PLAY the young guys, play Morris, play every 1st & 2nd year player & truly see what they can & will be able to do. Playing Barnes is worthless, they will not win the West let alone the whole thing meaning this is a time to either trade of rebuild…

The Lake Show as I have said could dump every player over 25 plus every player making over a few million a year & trade them for nothing other then 1st round draft picks… I have also said if Kobe is upset over the re-building then let him go as well, he should be worth two or three good first rounders, maybe four…

If Baby Buss takes my advise he would have a Thunder type team & a super low payroll to boot. Nothing bad about either one of those things….

I miss Lamar like Khloe misses LA.  So how can I win the tickets to see him on the 16th?  Scored 19 on the Ultimate Fan Quiz but don’t see anyway to submit my score.  Tweeted it and follow LN on Twitter, does that do it?
