Kobe Bryant Injury: Will Have Surgery Saturday, Out 6-9 Months

After undergoing an MRI to discover the severity of Kobe Bryant’s torn Achilles tendon that he suffered from during Friday’s game, the 34 year old has elected to have surgery early Saturday afternoon. After practice today, head athletic trainer Gary Vitti confirmed the complete tear of Kobe’s Achilles tendon.

Vitti also remarked how Kobe’s tenacity, drive and determination to take on challenges with affect his recovery process.

Therefore, the process of recovery for Kobe Bryant begins tomorrow, and from the looks of it, do not be surprised to see Kobe Bryant back in uniform for the beginning of next season.

The Lakers are back in action tomorrow afternoon as they take on the San Antonio Spurs.
