Kobe Bryant Calls The Kobe Prelude III “The Most Important Shoe”
This week, Nike will introduce the latest shoe in the Kobe Prelude Pack — Kobe Prelude III. With the pack featuring eight different signature shoes, each one represents a defining moment in Bryant’s future Hall-of-Fame career.
In an interview with Nike Basketball, Bryant calls the Kobe Prelude III “the most important shoe in this pack” and shared a story about losing to the Boston Celtics in the 2008 NBA Finals:
“Losing to the Celtics, it’s such a really, really hard time for my career — a defining moment in my career. It really helped me turn the corner. Soul searched a little bit and become more determined to win a championship. But losing to the Celtics, it was absolutely misery. When I look at that shoe, that was the first thing that came to my mind.”
