The 2015-16 NBA season has been a struggle for both the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant. The team has obviously struggled and Kobe has been extremely inefficient in what could be his final season in the NBA.

Kobe has also struggled physically as he has had to miss three games due to rest and even said he wasn’t looking forward to walking to his car after playing 36 minutes in a near triple-double performance against the Detroit Pistons.

Despite admittedly being in pain, Kobe is still enjoying the season as he told Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski on his weekly Sirius XM talk show ‘Basketball and Beyond with Coach K’:

My body is sore as hell. My knees are sore, legs are sore. But I’ve found the beauty in it, like, I’m enjoying this. It’s ice baths constantly. It’s stretching constantly. It’s modality. It’s pacing myself in practice and trying to do all the right things. And it’s tough. I remember when basketball was just such an effortless thing. And now it isn’t anymore, but I still find the beauty in that process.”

Kobe has always been someone who finds inspiration in the little things. When coming back from previous injuries, he always spoke about enjoying the process and this is along those same lines. Kobe is enjoying everything that he has to put into being great on the court.

It is looking more likely that this will in fact be his final NBA season in which case fans everywhere should be enjoying this last run as much as Kobe is.
