Kobe Bryant Becomes All-Time Leading Scorer On Christmas Day

whitlockKobe Bryant broke the record for most points on Christmas Day when he made a foul shot in the fourth quarter. Oscar Robertson held that record previously. The affectionately known Big O had amassed a total of 278 points on Christmas Day.

Coming into the game, Kobe needed 28 points to tie the record Robertson had set. Robertson played from 1960-74.

Kobe has been setting many milestones this season, including reaching his 30,000th career point, passing John Havlicek for 9th place in most field goals made in a career, and becoming the all-time Laker franchise leader in steals.
