Kobe Bryant And Clipper Darrell Have Inside Joke On Twitter

The Clippers have slowly been trying to force themselves into a rivalry with the Lakers, and with the organization finally fielding a formidable team, the games between the two teams have finally been played with a great competitive spirit.

One of the newest parts of the rivalry are all of the new fans that the Clippers have gained in the last three season, but one staple in the red, white, and blue has been Clipper Darrell, one of the most recognizable fans in the NBA with his trademark red and blue suit. However, Clipper Darrell tweeted that Kobe recruited him to become a member of Lakers Nation.

The sight of Clipper Darrell in Forum Blue and Gold was a bit bewildering and strange considering the team he’s followed for so long is finally on the verge of competing for a championship. However, according to Eric Pincus, the tweet was a part of an inside joke between Darrell and Kobe.

We can rest assured that Clippers fans will stay Clippers fans for now — but if anyone can make even the most famous of Clippers fans make the conversion, it’s probably Bean.
