When Nick Young gets hot, he is able to take over a game almost single-handedly. Tonight was one of those games as he poured in a season-high 41 points in the Lakers 119-104 win over the Utah Jazz.

Young was the story tonight as he was unstoppable, particularly in the second half. After the game, Kendall Marshall spoke to reporters on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and had some high praise for Young:

Young is talented, that much is obvious, but he is also an excellent teammate who everybody on the Lakers loves. He is one of the most natural scorers in the NBA today, and has proven his worth throughout this season.

Teams need players who can get their own shot, and Young is one of those players. His energy is infectious and everyone feeds off him once he gets going.

Marshall was one of the reasons Young got going tonight as he dished out 15 assists, a number of them to Young. A good point guard understands his teammates and Marshall knows to get Young the ball when he is hot.

While Young will likely opt-out of his contract in the off-season, he has been very open about his desire to remain in Los Angeles. Someone as talented as Young is sure to attract some interest from a number of teams. It will be up to the Lakers to keep this talent in purple and gold.
