In his first season as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, Byron Scott wasted no time in showing that he is a hard-nosed coach who has no problem calling out players. His training camps are notably grueling and as a whole, he seemed to be angry far more than happy this past season.

What will Jordan Clarkson make this season? Find out here!

Second-year guard Jordan Clarkson is not one of those players and in an interview with Sirius XM NBA Radio, Clarkson outlined what will bring ‘Mad Byron’ out:

Scott is known as a no-nonsense coach and Clarkson’s comments play right into that. Scott expects his players to work hard every game and leave everything they have on the court. When a player doesn’t do that or constantly jokes around, it’s going to cause problems such as the ones between Scott and Nick Young.

Clarkson is an extremely hard worker who is constantly spending time in the gym working to improve his game, so it makes sense that he and Scott would be just fine. Scott has a history of great relationships with young point guards including Chris Paul and Kyrie Irving. Hopefully, Clarkson can be the next in line of those excellent point guards to play under Scott.
