Jerry Buss will be remembered as one of the greatest (if not, the greatest) sports owner in history. He bought the Lakers in 1979 and never looked back as he was the architect of 10 NBA championships. Five titles were won during the beloved Showtime era with Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and then five more titles were won during the Kobe Bryant/Phil Jackson era.
