Italian Basketball Team Offers Kobe $600,000 Per Game

Italian basketball club, Virtus Bologna, has offered Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant a contract which pays him $600,000 per game.  In smaller terms, if Kobe signs with Virtus he will be making $200 per second. With the Lakers, Bryant is set to earn $25 million next season, which is essentially $300,000 per game.

Bryant spent time in Italy as a child and the Virtus club is pushing hard to bring Kobe “home.” Many NBA players are looking to play overseas during this lockout and Kobe said he would keep his options open outside the United States. He reportedly already turned down an offer from Turkish club Besiktas, but who knows what will happen next when such a huge salary is offered.

Virtus Bologna has signed a deal with Milwaukee Bucks’ Chris Douglas-Roberts, and they are trying to ink Spur Manu Ginobili so he can form a dynamic back-court with Kobe Bryant.
