With the news breaking that guards Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks are all doubtful for Game 3 tomorrow night against the Spurs, we decided to create a table of all the injuries during the 2012-13 season.

Nash, Blake, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill have all been injured several times as there have been 17 different injuries to the team.

Kobe Bryant’s injury won’t only affect games missed and the team’s record for this season, but it’s expected that Kobe will miss some games to start the season.

Regardless, when general manager Mitch Kupchak put this roster together over the summer there’s no way he could’ve predicted the rash of injuries his “super team” would face in 2012-13. In total, the Lakers lost 176 total games due to injury.

Here’s a complete list of all the injuries (in chronological order) that have taken place this season:

I think Jamison missed a few as well.

Yea he had a wrist injury he’s been playing with. Dunno how many games he missed with it if any.

I think he missed some early in the season with a groin. Not sure if he missed any with the wrist (other than portions of the game he hurt it in).

  • padrefaura

excuses are starting to come in.

    • cmstew

It’s easy to call injuries excuses.

It’s much more difficult to make the playoffs when the top 10 players in your rotation miss 176 total games.

When you do something that difficult, then your opinion might matter.

    • Wrestling_God

Ok tell me, when was the last time a team with so many injuries throughout the whole season won a championship? Or even made the playoffs? What was shown in this article is not an excuse, but a fact.

  • KcS

And WHY do we have all these injuries? Because of an incompetant clown of a coach (D’umbtoni) who can’t do his job and manage players’ minutes and health conditions. My god this season has probably been the worst among Lakers history, that’s just how bad it is.

  • Lakers Need Younger Players

Older players and injuries are part of the game.
