GIF Of The Week: Wes Johnson Dunks On Paul Pierce

Wes JohnsonThe Lakers are on their way back home after a successful road trip that saw the team go 2-1 and get back above .500 for the first time since beating the Clippers on Opening Night at Staples Center. The lone loss was against the Wizards, but bounced back the next night with their first win on the second of a back-to-back this season.

One of the biggest reasons the Lakers were able to leave Brooklyn with a win was Steve Blake’s ability to hit backdoor cutters — with one of them going to Wes Johnson. Paul Pierce was guarding Johnson on this play, but he was a year too old and a step too slow as he tried to recover after being beat. Johnson took the pass from Blake, gathered and destroyed Pierce with a nasty reverse jam. Check out the GIF below.
