From the Developmental League to the Big Time – Shannon Brown Has Found Success

Last month Brown was the feature of the NBA Developmental League, starring in a viral campaign that focuses on the work it takes to make it to the NBA and the success that can come as a result of putting the time in.

Few players in the NBA, let alone the Lakers, have worked harder to be where they are than Brown. He’s continued to focus on the areas of the game that needed the most work over the past few seasons on the path to becoming a threat off the Lakers bench.

His versatility has blossomed since his emergence on the Lakers’ roster during the 2008-2009 season, making him the ideal role player in their pursuit of another three-peat.

During his time at Michigan State, Shannon was the subject of many college highlight video. From the videos below he was heralded as being one of the best high-risers in college basketball. Early on, he made it a point of embarrassing the opposing team’s shot-blockers, a skill he would carry with him during his play in the NBA.
