It's gonna be too crowded. Looks like James McDonald may make the #5 in the rotation after today's performance.

It is too crowded. I had a nice lil 5 year run of going to opening day. About 5 years ago I decided it wasnt worth it. Its super packed it takes forever to get a beer take a leak and leave. I go tuesday thru thurday only at night. Thats it. Those are the games that get like 35,000 people. Easy to get in easy to get out no long lines its magical.

I'll try to make it to a few games this year but can't make it for opening day.  I'll settle for a few beers while enjoying the opening day game on my 65" HD TV. th_baseball-1.gif up_gd.gif

Steven, your avatar gives me a bitter sweet feeling. I used to have that Steve Garvey card, among other years, but my Mom threw all my cards away, so I got nothing. I STILL give her crap for that. Either way, 7 days left for the season opener. Looks like your ready. I am!!!

Who doesnt get hammered before the game? Then I have to wait in a long @ss line to drain the snake. More than 40,000 people at the stadium and its a mess.

The trick is to not sit behind the plate, then you got poeple from both sides trying to hit the trofts at the same time. Get seats closer to the bullpens. There's rarely lines, unless it's a Friday night game. Then, of course, you can always piss out in the parking lot on a car with an opposing team's sticker or license plate frame.

Coincidentally, my mom threw away about a thousand of my 1976 baseball cards too.  It's amazing that we hear so many stories about moms throwing away young son's baseball cards.

Because of this past weekend in Vegas, I have discovered something about the Doyers worth liking. Their post game guy, Steve Lyons. He hung out with me and the boys in the Mandalay sports book for a bit and hes every bit as rude and crude and obnoxious as we are. Saw him going cookoo at the craps table a few times. We'd pass at a table or just cruisin around, and see how the other was doin at the games. Turns out I should have met him before the NCAA games. He was hitting them like a pro, while I couldnt pick jack.
