No you started it by saying God hates everyone. I just said God hates you. I was kidding. I guess you dont kid.

I kid all the time. I was referring to a Slayer cd titled "God Hates Us All" not saying God Hates Us All. Obviously you are not a Slayer fan or you would have understood the reference. No biggie either way.

ABBA inducted to the RRHOF.  What a joke.  At least the Stooges got inducted.  Once again Rush gets over looked.

Hey anybody know if Metallica has any new material coming up since their 'Death Magnetic' album? That last one was a lot better than some of their previous one's, but still wasn't what I expected of it. I'm still wishing they would make new material actually based on the style of their early work of the early and late 80's, such as their 'Kill em All, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets' albums. Those were their greatest works IMO.

Metallica died for me right about the "And Justice For All" album. Then I saw that "Monster..." documentary and realized that they turned into whiney little millionaire pussys.
I wouldn't give them any more money.

Pretty much this. I hung in there a lot longer but I am done. I doubt that these millionaire pussies have another good album in them. I woke up around the time that they were doing the Symphony shit. The real downfall was arond AJFA as you said. "Black" album and its subsequent success was the beginning of them being way too mainstream for me.

I have to sadly agree with you guys. I too lost interest in any of their new work once "And Justice For All" was released. They sort of slowly went mellow, sold out (which was the main reason Jason left imo), went semi-heavy metal again (or at least tried to), then just slowly faded out to whatever it is you want to call their music now.  :jerkoff:

Sad But True
Unfortunately the same thing happened to most bands that I got into with the probable exceptions of Pantera,Tool and Slayer. Priest,Rush,Ozzy,Aeroshit,Scorps,Maiden, ect. all went merc in my opinion. Def Leppard was probably the worst. Last Metallica album was probably the best thing that they have done since Black album but that is not saying much. I'd still go see them live but I am done buying cds, t-shirts,ect.

Concerts and the sales of their t-shirts of their older days is probably the only means of income for Metallica nowadays. Hardly anybody buys their music. They just download it from somewhere now. If they still played kick ass jams like they did in the 80's, I'd still be buying their music even though it was available to download just to have their Album. Unfortunately, that's not the case anymore.

I had "Ride the Lightning" and "Justice" CD's ripped off from my truck and that was it for Metallica and me.

On St. Anger Hammett was forbidden to play solos, and they replaced Jason Newstead with some douche.
And Lars forgot how to tune/play the drums. Then on Death Magnetic, the solos were brought back kinda, but not anywhere near what they shoulda been.
No news as of yet for any upcoming albums.

Why was Hammett forbidden from doing a solo?? What's a Metallica song without a solo from Kirk?? Lars is just a lil bitch. I never did like him even when Metallica was at full force in the 80's. I agree, Death Magnetic was much better than some of their previous works, but still, nowhere near their 80's hard-core jams. I bought it though, but rarely listen to it. I'm hooked on their old music for life.

The site didnt say why, but it was definitely the worst thing they coulda done.
Metallica will never be the same, and its all cause they cut their hair back in the 90's. Short hair ruins music.

Kirk Hammet is the worse metal guitarist of all time. Second to Nigel Tuffnel.
