Mo, Wilt is a great player. No one will argue with you that Wilt isn't great. But the first thing that comes to mind when you sau "Wilt" is 100 point game.

Now, when you Say Michael Jordan first time comes to most people's mind "The Greatest EVER!". Let's not forget that Michael Jordan made the game of Basketball a world wide sensation. If it wasn't for Michael Jordan... people in some dirt country wouldn't even know who Wilt Chamberlain is.

????????? No he didn't.  Their were pro leagues in all those countries that have leagues.  The lakers of the 80's had world wide fans.  How long were they playing basketball in the olympics?  Magic and Bird gave the NBE it's popularity.  Because of those 2, they stopped showing the finals on tape delay

I am not questioning the greatness of Magic, Bird, Kareem, Wilt, Mr. West, others that came before Michael.

I gave you guys stats when you asked for it. You've seen the greatness of Michael on the court and off. The intangibles and how he inspired kids that came after him. Yet y'all refuse to accept that the facts laid in front of youl because you have an agenda against the Greatest ever. EVER!

Wilt was probably the greatest Athlete of all time but he didn't have the will of a Jordan.   I would have to give it to Jordan becuz of his will and he was so clutch.  DPOY the same year he was MVP.  Damn!!! That says alot.  Forget about how he changed the game marketing wise he was a fundamentally sound player along with being an incredible athlete.   The only difference between Kobe and Jordan was Dean Smith tutolage and probably a better father Jordan had.   No big knock on Jelly Bean.

Here we go with the Mr. Bryant vs the Greatest Player of All Time - Michael Jordan comparisons.

Not once did I invoke Mr. Bryant's name but apologists still feel the urge to apologize for their main man, their mack daddy... Mr. Bryant.

Sucking up to Jordan will get you nowhere! Besides all of the players mentioned on this thread have made this game what it is today, not just M. Jordan. Talk about your ball-washing!

He was just as clutch as Jordan in the playoffs.  What Jordan lacked, due to no fault of his own, was a true rival.  It would have been Harper if Cleveland would have kept him and he didn't injure his knee.

Russell/Chamberlain
Chamberlain/Abdul-jabbar
Magic/Bird

Chances were you knew they would meet in the finals and battle it out.  There was never anyone, especially in the west that could be counted on.  It would have been great to see Kobe/Jordan while both in their prime

If the stats, on court performance and off the court larger than life impact that Michael Jordan made isn't enough for y'all to realize that indeed he is the greatest. Then nothing will. Then there is no pleasing you Mr. Powers.

It's a subjective subject.  Every generation feels their superstars was the greatest of all times.  Don't you think Javier's generation thinks Kobe is the GOAT and the even younger crowd will say it is Lebron.    You presented stats but none making Jordan the goat.  Any MVP award is voted which is subjective.

I vote for this thread being CLOSED
