Los Angeles there is no need to worry or panic, the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t going anywhere… the Lakers don’t rebuild, we simply regroup!

Ever since the Buss family took over in 1979 we have been a franchise committed to winning thanks to a committed owner who only knows one thing; CHAMPIONSHIPS! Ever since 1980 we have won 10 Championships, 16 Conference titles and 18 Division titles furthermore we have landed the prized big fish every time the big the fish was needed and wanted.

I understand the new anti-Lakers CBA, Sterns agenda and fascination with LeBron however this will not stop the LAL nor will it stop a players desire to play for the most prestigious franchise in the association in the biggest stage of them all in the most beautiful city in the world, believe that! The team may be restricted to what they can spend but the city has no limitations just ask Kobe and his $32 million in endorsements, by the way this number is decreasing with his age which leads me to believe this city is ready for a new young star… Dwight Howard or Deron Williams? Both of these players have full control of their destinations, salary wise it wont be much of a drop for them being that players would be going out in order to match salaries. If Dwight and Deron are smart they will both realize that Kobe only has a few more years left in the tank making this their team sooner rather than later. Furthermore Dwight’s $11 million & Deron's measly $2 million in endorsements will without a doubt double, triple and in DWill's case quadruple in their first year in Hollywood. It’s that easy.

I am in no way insinuating this will happen but it wouldn’t make sense if it didn’t. You can call me a dreamer or a fool but if the Lakers did pull off this trade, we’re back in business…

Don’t let the media fool you, Bynum and Pau have a lot more worth than they are putting out there, it may not be enough for both of these guys but we can definitely change the landscape of this team in a New York minute.

In the Lakers I trust… Go Lakers!!!!!!!!!!!

Good topic, thanks, it actually reminded me of how spoiled I am and how I expect it every year. Had to realize that the league, players, ages and not to mention those new hated CBA rules changed and the Lakers have to adjust to that as well. Too many things went wrong for us and all the new adjustments the team was going through weren't being too welcomed by some players. I'm pretty sure once they get a full training camp going with some minor adjustments the Lakers won't look so lost out there. Again, good thread CAS.  :alright:
