Bye-bye Bynum & Pau...

Now that I am over the hurt, the depression and the embarrassment of another playoff beating courtesy of the Mavs last year and the Thunder this year, it is time to share with you my thoughts…
BOTH MUST GO, not one but BOTH as in Bynum & Gasol! Thanks for the 2 titles in 3 years but the run is over and so is the experiment.
Therefore lets revisit the obvious, ORL. Obviously Howard has checked out and he did so long before he quit on his team this past season, its time to present them with the best offer they’re going to get, Bynum & Sessions for Howard.
Thereafter and only once the above is complete, bye-bye Pau and hello Lowry & Scola.
Then its time to tweak the bench, how about some helpful vets, here are a few ideas…
Lamar Odom
Jason Terry
Andre Miller
Leandro Barbosa
Jordan Farmar
Carl Landry
Grant Hill
Kirk Hinrich
Antawan Jamison
Chris Kaman
Ladies & Gentlemen your 2012-2013 Los Angeles Lakers starting 5:
PG: Lowry
SG: Kobe
SF: Ron-Ron
PF: Scola
C: Howard
Go Lakers!!!!!!!!!!!

so if you want to get rid of Pau and you want Kyle Lowry from the Rockets, Id ask for Martin, their #14th pick and Chandler Parsons. Id then try to find a strech 4 in the draft or in FA. Take Perry Jones or Terrance Ross with the 14th pick.
Resign Jordan Hill, Sessions will pick up his player option
Stretch 4/(P.Jones?)
Kobe/Peace/Parsons
Bynum/Hill
Martin/(Ross?)
Lowry/Sessions

I was waiting for your wise words, however I disagree with your assesment of Scola. Although Pau is clearly the better athlete, Scola has heart, plays with passion and does not lack motivation. He’s a tough son of a gun who brings it night in and night out, no days off here. Scola is physical, tough, a solid rebounder for his size with a good mid range shot. For Pau’s money Lowry and Scola are worth making the deal. As for Martin, nah Ill pass, no offense, the Lakers need to make a move that is going to get us back to the promise land and quite frankly Martin and his perimeter shot isnt going to make much of a difference if any.
I do howveer like your suggestion in trading up in the draft, in part 2 of my posting I said the same thing, if the Lakers cannot make an imapct deal it may be time to go young, as in trade for top picks a’la Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Lillard, Robinson…
Go Lakers!

Still would rather have Martin over Scola. The lakers need to create space for Bynum to work down low and give him dependable outlets in the perimeter. Teams are just packig the paint because the Lakers lack outside shooting and any legit threat from the perimeter. Scola works mainly from the post so he'll be in Bynum's way.

No offense but quite frankly I’m over Bynum and his bad attitude lack luster play, with his size and athleticism he should be manhandling the league! The kid is extremely immature, thinks he deserves the reigns of the franchise but doesn’t want to work for it. I’m over his “potential”… at this point I would welcome Dwill & Lopez for Bynum & Sessions.
Furthermore lets face it, this isn’t the same league as when Shaq was roamed the paint, just look around, the top teams currently in the NBA do not have a dominating big man, it’s a new era dominated by guards specifically at the point. Teams can now get away with a legit PF a’la Duncan, Griffin, Love, KG, Dirk, Cousins… even Pau when utilized as the second option. The only exception to the rule is Howard. BTW Pau’s numbers would increase if featured as our # 2 guy, he just never looked comfortable playing 3rd fiddle.
I’m all for doing away with Bynum for the right trade, in fact I may even consider multiple picks if high enough.
Give me:
Lowry-Kobe-Beaseley-Scola-Howard
Or
Lowry-Kobe-Beaseley-Scola-Bynum
Or
DWill-Kobe-Beasley-Pau-Lopez
GO LAKERS!!!!!!!

Go Lakers!
he doesn't rebound like you would want a power forward to rebound but he is tough. he destroys the lakers every time they play.
martin is a decent scorer. other parts of his game are average at best.
he is a prime example of a player with an unorthodox shooting technique but still can get in the hole. does he have long arms and big hands?

just change the coach!!! and the team will win a championship this season and next - kenjam89mb

Bynum is not the future of this franchise although as a businessman it makes perfect sense to market him in such a way; it adds value to his youth, athleticism and "potential."
I admit I once was a big fan of Drew and still can be but from what I have seen thus far from him and observing the direction of the NBA, unless DH12, a “big” man is no longer necessary hence Thunder, Spurs, Mavs, Bulls, Heat, Celts… BTW Duncan is a PF.
Furthermore Bynum lacks charisma and the “it” factor to make him the face of this franchise sort of like how Kareem was either, no personality. This city and this franchise requires the entire package; game, personality, marketability and the heart of champion a’la Magic, Shaq and Kobe.
As a businessman and devoted life long Lakers fan, I love my franchise, I appreciate and admire our players but I don’t fall in love with them. Hasta luego Bynum, so long pal.
DISCLAIMER: This is not a fire sale; I would not trade Bynum for a bunch of bums or a bag of chips however for Howard or Dwill +Lopez, I’m open to business…
Go Lakers!!!!!!!

GIVE IT UP WITH DWIGHT HOWARD, HE'LL NEVER COME TO THE LAKERS AND HE HAS SAID IT HIMSELF STFU.
Keep Gasol, trade Bynum.
Gasol production hasn't gone down, his touches has.

But please do not "STFU" anyone. Everybody here is entitled to his/her opinion.
