Now that Kobe appears to be refreshed with all that time off, he's playing more energized and at a higher level than what we saw during much of the regular season.  More importantly, I like the fact that he's playing and emphasizing the team concept by getting his teammates involved, primarily his immensely talented and incomparable bigs in Bynum and Gasol.  The Lakers are now finally and legitimately, one of the teams to contend for the NBA championship trophy.

The Lakers will prevail in this pivotal game 3, 108-105.

I also think Kobe's involvement with the team like helping Brown coach the players and such had a lot to do with the players becoming more and more comfortable with Mike Brown and trusting and listening to him. All that made Brown's transition as the Lakers coach all that easier on Brown as well as the players. Example: Bynum's not throwing anymore tantrums.

Lakers might have a hard time in Denver, but eventually will pull off a win to make it 3-0. I'm guessing the Lakers MIGHT lose one of the two games at Denver for two reasons (or at least one reason). One, so they can prolong the first round a bit so that Ron can be back to help the Lakers against either the Thunder or the Mavs in the 2nd round. And/or two, so they can come back home for game 5 and win the series at home to give the Staples Center fans something to cheer about. :basketball: :go_lakers:

Exactly why we need our crazy Ron back. I think the Thunder have a weakness. That weakness being Durant. By that I mean if you can shut down Durant, the majority of the times the rest of the team somehow follows. When that happens, Westbrook usually ends up trying to do too much and by doing that he makes mistakes and his shooting percentage goes down. That's why the Lakers are blessed to have Ron who's one of the very few players who can guard Durant perfectly without fouling out of the game. The damn Spurs I worry about about as well, especially Tony "the pest" Parker and their sharp 3 point shooters. Lakers need to play exactly how they played the Spurs and beat them back in April 11th. Just my take on this...

Game one, Lakers blow the Nuggets away without mercy. Game 2, Nuggets figure out a way to score (somewhat) and get back into the game a couple of times making the Lakers lose a good lead. The Lakers answer back and regain their lead to win the game. Game 3 (at Denver), the Nuggets know these next two games are a must win for them, so being the fast-paced and high-scoring team they were during the regular season and with the home crowd on their side, this should be an exciting, close, must watch game. Lakers by 6. :go_lakers:

The L.A. Kings beat the St. Louis Blues in game 3 today giving the Kings a 3-0 series lead in the second round of the NHL playoffs. One more win and the Kings will sweep this series and onto the Western Conference Playoffs. The Kings are the only team in the whole playoffs with a 3-0 series lead against their opponent.
Something tells me the Denver Nuggets will meet that same fate against the Los Angeles Lakers. If the Lakers win tomorrow's game in Denver, then they might as well start preparing for the semi-finals against the Thunder, since they're already 3-0 against the Mavs, but we'll see. Go Lakers and Kings Baby! :go_lakers: :kings:

Nuggets are starting to figure out how to score against the Lakers (see game 2) and they're playing in Denver. Still, Lakers are too good and will dominate this series. Lakers by 6 tonight. Looks like it might be a close game.

I say the Lakers should just get this over with and finish off them Nuggets with a clean sweep. As long as they control the tempo, Bynum and/or Gasol fight for every rebound, keep a body on Gallinari and they watch their turnovers the Lakers can take this series.

I hope last night was the losing game youre talkin about Chito. Now it's time for the Lakers to play like the true Lakers in game 4 then come home and finish them off. Unless of course they want to chance it more and extend this to 7 games.
