What in the hell happened? I have yet to see it but from what ive been hearing Lesnar didnt even try. Basically that he decided to retire before the fight even started. Whats with going to wrestling just because? thats bullshit. But from what i gather Odereem did destroy him so at least thats something.

I didn't see the fight on fight day, but saw glimpses of the reruns. UFC 141 Overeem vs Lesnar basiclly was a one sided fight IMO. Overeem came out in a low stance ready and expecting Brock to come out like a bull (don't we all lol). I think it was one of the first jabs Brock threw that opened a cut over Overeem's right eye. In the press confrence after the fight, Overeem stated that the cut bleed into his eye and he couldn't see. Scared that the referee might stop the fight because of it, Overeem became much more aggresive and landed a number of knees that Lesnar didnt react well to. After Overeem had Lesnar hesitant, he delivered a beautiful liver kick that supposedly broke Brocks rib which lead to the stoppage.
I agree with you that it was pointless for Lesner to come out and not fight too well or not aggressive enough. Didn't Lesner do the same when he fought Shane Carwin where Shane completely destroyed him in the first round and Lesner was then saved by the bell? Later on, Shane was too tired from the pounding he gave Lesner in the first round, that he ended up losing on a submission? I think Shane should have won that fight in the first round because Lesner was on the floor covering himself for some time and didn't try to fight back with blood all over his face and the ref didn't stop it. Lesner may look like a monster because of his size, but he's not a good stand up fighter.
