Bobby Ryan has finally signed for 5 years, $25.5 million. About time. A pretty good deal considering the stupid contracts that have been handed out over the last few years. The Ducks still need to get one more d-man.

Ducks look like crap right now. Defense sucks and Hillier is going to be burned out with the amount of rubber that he is going to face. Might be time for Carlyse to be shown the door.

Sweet crap the Ducks have looked like shit. Getting outshot 54-13 by St. Louis is atrocious. The team has looked absolutely undisciplined and pathetic. It was a mistake to give Getzlaf the Captaincy. He hasn't changed at all so far this season. The team has taken more penalties than they have goals scored. They just signed Andres Lilja since all the d-men are dropping like flies. At least Koivu and Fowler have looked good. Carlyle needs to go if this shit keeps up. But him are Murray are good friends. So who knows if that'll actually happen.

So the Ducks beat Vancouver to get the first win, then follow that up by blowing a 2 goal lead and loosing in a shoot out to Atlanta. I can't begin to say how much Getzlaf pisses me off. The guy could dominate games by himself, but instead has moments where he stands still and tries to make the sportscenter highlite plays. Half the time, I can't tell if he's putting forth full effort. At least Lydman came back and looked good. Lilja should be albe to play soon as well. I hope to buddha that means Mikkelson and Brookbank will see the pine.

Ducks are in rebuild mode. This is going to be a long season. Playoffs are a long shot. Getzlaf pisses me off too and he should have not been named captain. He still passes way too much. He is the second coming of Jumbo Joe but atleast he has won a Cup.

Only because of Giguere, Pronger, and Niedermayer. Ducks were able to beat Philly tonight. My expectations are low for this season, but I still get mad when they lose. Carlyle needs to go, now. I can't stand the constant changing of line combinations. Obviously without 2 hall of famers on the back line, he's not that good of a coach. Fowler looks like he'll be a star. He just needs to avoid getting face planted into the boards.

Don't forget Selanne and all the role players either. Paulsen was a great shutdown player that season. Too bad Burke made some bad moves and the salary cap killed that team before they could make another deep run. That being said i would rather be a team that wins once than be like the sharks and dominate regular season after regular season and never get it done in the playoff.
Fowler looks like a winner and if Sisba and a couple of other young defenseman pan out Ducks could be a threat again in a couple of seasons.I have low expectations for this season myself.

Ducks beat Dallas tonight. 2 wins on the road, considering the beginning of the season, that's progress. I'm starting to worry about Fowler, though. He hasn't played since getting face planted.

Ducks have won 5 in a row. Kind of surprised. Most of the wins have been pulled out of their asses with 2 OT wins, 1 won with 1 second left in regulation, and the last win being won despite getting massively out played. Selanne and Koivu have been incredible and the defense has been better than expected. Still taking too many dumb penalties. Fortunately, it hasn't come back to bite them.

Now at 6 in a row after beating the Stars last night, 4-2. Ducks are in second in the Pacific right behind the Kings. Color me impressed. I just hope they can keep this up.

4 games to 2 loss to Crapville in the playoffs. I won't go off on a tangent no matter how much I want to. They need to figure out what to with Hiller, sign a top line d-men, and sign a two way forward. Shea Webber is a RFA this off season. I say throw an offer sheet at him that he can't say no to.
