Why isn't Lovie Smith on that list? Possibly the worst head coach in the history of the NFL. I used to be a Bears fan, I quit last year when they didn't fire him, and I became a Packers fan 2 months ago to stick it to Bears fans because they're the dumbest fans in the NFL. In 2006, I got flamed to no end for saying Grossman needed to be benched, Orton the starter, and for Lovie to be fired for not benching Grossman. It was so bad, I had to shut down my facebook account for 2 weeks.

I agree but the Bears actually somehow did win enough games this year for him to save his job. Somehow I knew early on that the Bears were going to have a real shot at winning the division this year and saving his job or he would have been on the list. I agree that he does suck though.Next year the Bears will come back down to reality and people will realize that he is not a good coach.

Every year since 2006, they have won at least 3 games they shouldn't have won, and that keeps Lovie from getting fired. It's hilarious how my facebook news feed is during/after every Bears game. Everyone wanted him fired in 2009, acted like the Bears just won the Super Bowl when they beat the Vikings on MNF, then had a cow when he wasn't fired and started wondering why. Uh, yeah, that win over the Vikings saved his job. Any other team would have fired him. Now this year, the Bears start out 3-0. WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!! Next week, Cutler is sacked 9 times. FIRE LOVIE SMITH!! Bears start winning again. WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!! GIVE LOVIE A NEW CONTRACT!! It's hilarious how stupid they are. Next year when they start losing, everyone is going to want him fired, but he is going to be too expensive to fire

I would agree that Lovie isn't a great coach but he isn't horrible.  The Bears did a great job on Aaron Rogers in the NFC Championship game and should have won if Cutler and the offense didn't decide to take the day off.

He is not. He is god awful. When the Bears made the playoffs in 2006, he gave Seattle a chance to win the game. He called a timeout with 2 seconds left on 4th down hoping to get Hester a punt. With 2 seconds, you're not going to punt. You're either going to try a Hail Mary or run a play to kill 2 seconds. If Seattle had thrown that Hail Mary and caught it, the Bears lose! That game really showed me his ineptitude. Then 2 years later, in the Atlanta game, he calls a squib and the Falcons win. All the 2 yard dump passes on 3rd and 8. Removing your starting running back Cedric Benson from the game who got off to a great start and was healthy because "the game plan called for us to use [Adrian] Peterson (no not that one) more." The 98-yard TD drive in 2 minutes when Brian Griese called his own plays because his headset broke, and then had to pull a 180 the next day. Lovie Smith and Ron Turner do not have the intelligence to call such a drive. I could go on forever, but I won't.

I would agree with Buckeye that Lovie is pretty brutal. Bears were lucky to even be in the NFC Championship Game. Rodgers did not have even a good day for him or that game would have been a rout. Green Bay defense had a lot to do with Bears not being able to do squat and Cutler pussing out of the game. Bears gritty defense kept them in that game but I never thought they really had a chance to win it.

The Bears got so many breaks last year it's not even funny. If the officials had ruled that Calvin Johnson play in week 1 a TD, the Bears don't even make the playoffs.

Fine line between success and failure in the NFL. That call was brutal. Bears could easily go back to being a 6-10 or 7-9 team next season and then Lovie will be on the hotseat again.

But he will get an extension and the historically notoriously cheap owners will not fire him because he will be too expensive. Urlacher, Cutler, and Peppers have got to be the 3 most overrated players in the NFL. I met Mongo last year he was like anyone with a name like Lovie shouldn't even be a coach.
