For those USC "fans" who like to stay in a state of denial:

Stop staying that 2 national championships were won during the Carroll era, they only won one BCS championship. The one you commonly confuse with a national championship was an AP award; LSU actually won the national championship that year on the field. The AP is a bunch of 80 year old writers that vote on the award and are no longer relevant. AP isn’t even involved in the current day BCS rankings. So, only 1 national championship is tainted with the stain of cheating, not two.

You attracted top 17-20 year old recruits in the Carroll era due to rockstar atmosphere you allowed to be created around your team. What 17-20 year wouldn’t be attracted to an environment that has Hollywood starlets, money throwing agents and former athletes surrounding the program? You allow your team to play in a field of snakes, don’t act surprised when one of them get bit.

Now that USC has been exposed for not playing by the same rules as the rest of the league they can now return to where they were prior to the Carroll years, irrelevance.

The same thing could have been said about UCLA during the Toledo years.  Remember UCLA players visiting the playboy mansion

Not quite the equivalent of what went on at USC. Terrible fall in the last decade for Bruins. Hard to believe that they were actually one win away from playing in the very first BCS Championship Game.

Petey is more guilty and responsible for what went on at USC than anyone else. It is sad that he gets to walk away unscathed and make even more cash at NFL level. He created the atmosphere that led to all of their problems. Garrett just buried his head in the sand and pretended that everything was cool.

Not too shabby, I'd say. One hand tied behind their back, and they still punked Juan's Bruins and Bryans Wildcats. That's funny shit. Too bad old man Ron doesn't have a horse in this race. He'd have been bent over too. Thanks to the Cameron judgment, it looks as though the Trojans should have their sanctions greatly reduced on appeal, which should get you haters all fired up. Hoooweee, things will be heatin' up come early next year!!!

Where ya been Loblaw? Where were you when all the NCAA shit came down? Remember all that shit.? Guess you just turned tail and ran like Cheatey Petey when you were wrong.. Beating the Bruins at this point means shit since thery are a bottom feeder. SC is right back to being the same mediocre team that they were before Cheatey took over. Enjoy the Kiffin era. I would not count on SC getting their sanctions reduced all that much since Bush knew exactly what he was doing and taken and so did the program. Where is Mike Garrett these days?

They like to keep it in the family at USC. The reason the USC alumnus is so tight is that nobody else can stand them.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Former Southern California backup quarterback Mitch Mustain was arrested on suspicion of selling prescription drugs in the San Fernando Valley, police said Wednesday.

Mustain, 22, was arrested by West Valley narcotics officers shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday and booked on $30,000 bail, Officer Bruce Borihanh said.

Details of the arrest were not immediately released.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Mustain was released on bail but Borihanh said he could not confirm that and a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department jail website still listed him as being in custody late Wednesday morning.

Mustain completed his senior year for the Trojans in 2010 and could not be reached for comment through the university's athletic department. The school had no contacts for him and it was unclear whether he had an agent.

Mustain currently is preparing for the NFL draft.

He became a backup quarterback for the Trojans after transferring to USC from Arkansas in 2007.

He started in last November's loss against Notre Dame when Matt Barkley was injured and passed for 177 yards. It was his first start since his freshman season at Arkansas, when he went 8-0.

I hope that by trend you mean that they keep recruiting Top 5 classes and still manage to lose 4 or 5 games a year like they did in '09 and '10 seasons. Their #1 recruiting class of 2007 did not turn out all that well for them.
