Stop staying that 2 national championships were won during the Carroll era, they only won one BCS championship. The one you commonly confuse with a national championship was an AP award; LSU actually won the national championship that year on the field. The AP is a bunch of 80 year old writers that vote on the award and are no longer relevant. AP isn’t even involved in the current day BCS rankings. So, only 1 national championship is tainted with the stain of cheating, not two.
You attracted top 17-20 year old recruits in the Carroll era due to rockstar atmosphere you allowed to be created around your team. What 17-20 year wouldn’t be attracted to an environment that has Hollywood starlets, money throwing agents and former athletes surrounding the program? You allow your team to play in a field of snakes, don’t act surprised when one of them get bit.
Now that USC has been exposed for not playing by the same rules as the rest of the league they can now return to where they were prior to the Carroll years, irrelevance.

The same thing could have been said about UCLA during the Toledo years. Remember UCLA players visiting the playboy mansion

Mustain, 22, was arrested by West Valley narcotics officers shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday and booked on $30,000 bail, Officer Bruce Borihanh said.
Details of the arrest were not immediately released.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Mustain was released on bail but Borihanh said he could not confirm that and a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department jail website still listed him as being in custody late Wednesday morning.
Mustain completed his senior year for the Trojans in 2010 and could not be reached for comment through the university's athletic department. The school had no contacts for him and it was unclear whether he had an agent.
Mustain currently is preparing for the NFL draft.
He became a backup quarterback for the Trojans after transferring to USC from Arkansas in 2007.
He started in last November's loss against Notre Dame when Matt Barkley was injured and passed for 177 yards. It was his first start since his freshman season at Arkansas, when he went 8-0.
