After speaking to Barnes and the woman, deputies determined that the two had been in a physical confrontation and Barnes had prevented the woman from talking to 911 operators. Curran said dispatchers heard the sound of a struggle in the background on the brief open line until it was disconnected.

What's your opinion on Matt now?

Wonder what happened . . .

Hopefully it doesn't carry on into the season, because I am pretty sure the Lakers front office will have a zero tolerance for this behavior and will trade him fast if it becomes a bigger problem.

Well can't say that I'm surprised. He is a lil on the volatile side. I would have rather he take his agression out on the BASKETBALL COURT instead of ending up in a COURT OF LAW! We may not see him on the Basketball Court if he keeps these antics up.

I'm wondering what constituted Domestic Violence . . . did he chuck furniture around? or did he actually touch her?

Since its involving a woman he could have pushed her and they would consider it domestic violence

*shakes head* So disappointing. And if he actually has to do time, we will need another player. Was this his wife? Or someone he was cheating on her with? That would make it eveb worse. As a woman, I dont take to domestic violence. As of now, he better do his job on the court, I want nothing to do with him, outside of that

His wife is crazy after seeing some episodes of Basketball Wives so she could have pissed him off.

But, let's get the facts first, if they come to light. I don't convict until I see all the evidence

If he kept her from making a 911 call, that's be a big problem for him.

It's a form or kid napping and holding a person against their will. I did not realize we are his 8th team in 9 years, red flag, I missed that when I was happy he was signed.

Even though as of now it is considered suspicion of domestic violence I feel it will still be in my mind and the minds of many Lakers fans. Since he is newly acquired, I don't know too much about him. But the ones that do stick our are:

1. The fake inbound pass to Kobe's face and
2. Where we are now with the domestic violence

My question is this; if they were BOTH involved in a struggle and each put hands on the other, then why is he the only one arrested?  People fail to realize that men are also victims of domestic violence.  It happens a LOT more often than you would think.  My brother was married to a woman that was continually hitting him, we were raised to NOT strike a woman.  He never filed a report with the police though because he was 6'1" and she as 5'2" and he thought htat he could take it.  Well, she finally got to the point where she stabbed him with a steak knife, just missed his heart, and he ended up in thehospital.  The police were going to arrest HIM because she said that he started the argument.  They did no arrest him because she said that he had stabbed himself!!!  They eventually got divorced before she killed him.  I am just relating this story to show you that these things do happen and some women take advantage of the misconception that it is ALWAYS  the man that does the domestic violence.
My name says it all, I am LAKERFAN4LIFE1955
