dont have a problem with the Angels celebration. yes its only a division title but its been an emotional and difficult year so why not. and yes the beer spraying was ironic but also poignant because Adenhart has been with the team all year so why not during the celebration too. they honored him and kept him close to their hearts.

celebrations are fine. as long as they continue all the way through to the world series.

with all that said... :dodgers:

:lmao: this is some funny stuff.... The damn Angels have to be the funniest teams in pro sports. Who in their right mind puts up their "division banner" the next day after winning it. Damnnnn I guess winning a division title is equivalent to winning a championship LOL...

By the way, why don't they have have a banner for their one and only 2002 World Series listed like how they have thier division titles listed proudly?

It's on a flagpole in left-center. Nice try though.

Oh wait, just noticed the Doyers lost. That explains why you're in this thread trying to make fun of anything you can find about the Angels. Those San Diego Padres and Pittsburgh Pirates man, tough.Posted Image

Well they do a nice job putting the camera on the flag. Heck if I would of knew it was on a damn flag, I would have not asked. But those damn Angel announcers sure are proud of being champs of a weak division. They sound like they are watching a little league game. Good they helped the Sox get in, now they can come and knock their asses out like they did the past two years. Red Sox vs. Yankees in the AL finals are much exciting then Angels and Dodgers in the World Series. Let's hope it's Yankees and Cardinals in the World Series this year. Pujols vs Jeter! MVP vs MVP!

Weak division huh? Padres and Diamondbacks say hello. Last year the Dodgers won their mighty division with 84 wins. A couple of years back the Padres won the division with 82 wins and were the worst team in baseball history to ever win a division. By the way check out Jeter's stats in the postseason since the Yanks last won which was back in 2000. They suck and he is a vastly overrated. Oh yeah and Jeter is not winning AL MVP unless voting is rigged. He is not even MVP on his own team. There is this guy who catches for some team up in Minnesota who will be AL MVP. I think his name is Mauer.

If he wearded their gear, they must be MVP.

A little buttsore because Angels clinched before Big Blue. If it makes you feel better Big Blue had a bigger lead in their division and were in first place longer.

Because they are ashamed that many of their key players were juiced out of their minds plus beating an NL team is not that big a deal since AL has been dominant for atleast a decade.

Unfortunately the last was over 20 years ago. I agree that division banners are no biggie at this point.Oakland is far better than both Padres and Diamondbacks. Rangers and Mariners both have winning records.

They have a flag flying for that.
BTW, AL West will finish with the best record in MLB.

As for the pouring of beer/champagne, Figgy put it best, "He's our teammate, we're allowed to do what we want."

Eat a dizzle, Helene!  You just moved passed Plaschke as my least favorite columnist.

PS..
Javi, you need to stay out of the Angel talk.  You know nothing of what you speak.

Bottom line, all the way's the only way. The banners tell the story. 9 for A's, 6 for Dodgers, 1 for the rest of the AL West.
