Groups:

Group A
South Africa
Mexico
Uruguay
France

Group B
Argentina
Greece
Nigeria
South Korea

Group C
Algeria
England
United States
Slovenia

Group D
Australia
Germany
Ghana
Serbia

Group E
Cameroon
Denmark
Netherlands
Japan

Group F
Italy
New Zealand
Paraguay
Slovakia

Group G
Brazil
Ivory Coast
Portugal
North Korea

Group H
Chile
Honduras
Spain
Switzerland

Top two teams from each group advance to the knock out rounds. I'll just go over the possibilities for the U.S. and Mexican teams. If U.S. wins their group, they would face the second place team from Group D. If they place second in their group, they would play the winner of Group D. So they're most likely second round match ups would be either Germany or Serbia. If Mexico wins their group, they would face the second place team from Group B. If they place second, they would face the winner of Group B. So their most likely second round opponents would be Argentina or Nigeria.

My predictions:
-USA wins their group; England second
-Mexico places second in their group
-Mexico gets eliminated in the second round by losing to Argentina
-USA beats Germany in the second round; beats Uruguay in the quarters; loses to Netherlands in the semis; loses to Cameroon in the 3rd place game; US finishes fouth
-Spain v. Netherlands in the finals; Netherlands wins

Any predictions?

It actually sets up sort of nicely for the U.S. Germany and Serbia are very beatable in the second round. I think if Mexico places second in their group, they're screwed by more than likely playing Argentina. If they win the group, they stand a good chance.

I just saw that Mexico Vs SA game, and Mexico blew many chances in the early part of the game in which they dominated. SA should have been the first host team in fifa to lose their opening game, But Mexico could not close them out, and Mexico almost ended up losing that game at the end. These 2 teams won`t go far, so suck on this Javi!

Uruguay and France tie at 0-0. Yawner. Everyone in Group A has 1 point. South Korea v. Greece, Argentina v. Nigeria, then the big one, USA v. England, tomorrow.

1-1 at the half. England scored in the first 5 minutes. It's a bad trend for US to give up goals in first 15 minuted of WC games. But the English goalie absolutely butchered a shot from Dempsey to let in a goal. Hopefully that gift will let the US loosen up and play better in the second half.

Tim Howard was man of the match for either side. The U.S. cannot come out again like they did in the first 10 minutes. I don't know if it was nerves or whatever, but enough of that shit. Obivously we stole that point, but I think everyone will take it. Like Clint Dempsey said afterwards, all the goals count the same when they go in. Now I think the big thing is to avoid a let down against Slovenia and Algeria.

Good:
-Clint Dempsey, Tim Howard, Jay DeMerritt, Steve Cherundulo, Oguchi Onyewu (in the second half)

Bad:
-Robbie Findlay, Jozy Altidore (with the exception of his shot off the post), Ricardo Clark
