Don't worry. Expect another invite to spring training or an acquisition for our #5 guy. Apparently they are passing on Wang.

They are passing on anyone that actually wants to get paid.

Uh huh, the McDouche divorce is not going to effect day to day operations.

Then they only passed on Lee and Halliday. The others weren't worth it. Good.

Did not stop them from passing on players until Mc Douche divorve. Andru Jones and Jason Schmidt say hello. Very few of these free agents are worth it but they can make any team better. Jason Bay is not worth what he is going to be paid but Mets will be better.
Same goes for Lackey and Red Sox will probably be better as well.

...and the fact that Manny decided to take the effortless 20 Mil cause no one in the AL wants him hits the payroll REAL hard, but if he's being Manny next season and they don;t go all the way, I'll blame the front office.

Front office is the reason that they have Manny. Can't blame Manny for taking 20 million when he knew no one else was going to give him anything close to that. He was a bargain when they got him and red sox were basically paying his salary but at some point you have to pay the piper and Blue is doing that now. He went from a bargain to an albatross in one year. The Dodgers lead MLB in attendance and their revenue stream has to be near the top so payroll should not be a problem unless of course their owner is a lying douche, which he is.

Manny, Ethier, Kemp ...with the 1999 All Roid team trying for that 5th spot aint too shabby. Sherrill, Troncoso, Bellesario and broxton in the Bullie ain;t too shabby. Casey Blake, Furcal, Belliard and Loney ain;t too shabby. We need to make season long maintenance on the starting rotation and we'll be on top again. If Billingsly, Kuroda and McDonald can win 10+ games, with Kershaw as our ace, I'm liking this team. high payroll or not.

So will Angels. When the playoffs start it will be all about big payroll. Phillies, Yanks, Sox, ect.

Bullpen will die in October again if starters cannot give team more innings. Expecting repeat performance form bullpen is asking way too much. Broxton needs to stop choking when it really counts.

I told koz the other day, with the M's and Texas making some big offseason moves, they won;t even make the playoffs if the Yanks win the East, and the Bosox take the Wild Card. It's tighter for Halos this year, with only Pornzilla an addition, and loss of Lackey, Figgy and a few other. More subtraction than addition for LA of A.

The "little talent" is overstated by me.  The Doyers have fairly good talent, good enough to contend for the playoffs but not for the WS title.

Not really. Texas is still Texas and Mariners will have to prove they can play when it matters. Angels added Piniero as well and bullpen should be much better this year. Morales and Kendrick also have room to improve. More subtraction than addition for LAD as well and it will be tighter. Angels coasted to West title last year while LAD won by less of a margin. Rockies are young and on improve and Giants are on the way up. Everything that you say about Angels can be said about Dodgers. angels have better starting pitching and did not have to go to scrap heap to hope that they can get a legit 5th starter. Dodgers have no margin for error in their pitch staff. One starter gets injured and they have major problems. Billingsuck needs to actually win some games this year and not crap out like he did last year.

You can't say the Angels are a storied franchise, or have even close to as many titles in the last 50 years so there goes your theory.
We only lost the Odog and Randy Wolf. We gained a few more years of services from Ethier and Kemp who are on their way up. If Pornzilla, fatso and Torri go down, and it's reggie willitz time, and there goes the offense. I think the starting pitching will be the same cause Joel Piniero and Kazmir are gonna get rocked.

No you also lost Juan Pierre and Juan Castro. If Manny gets suspended again or gets injured it will be Jeff Repko or Reed Johnson. No Pierre to bail Blue out like hhe did last year. Kazmir will be fine, he was great until the playoffs and then he got rocked. Kind of like what happened with Kershaw. Pinero will probably suck. Oh yeah and the Angels have already won more titles in their first 40+ years than Blue did in their first 50. History is great to fall back on. Bottom line is both teams are probably worse right now than they were at the end of last year. Atleast the Angels spent some cash while the Dodgers dumped payroll and hit the scrap heap to pick up pitchers 5 years (or more) past their prime. If the Dodgers would have signed Pinero you would have probably been fired up about it.

Not for that money and amount and baseball years. Piniero isn't even worth it. They shoulda paid money for Johnny Domon, instead, NOT Piniero and Pornzilla. You can't be TOO happy.

So if Kemp and Ethier go down, you're saying the Doyer offense won't suck?  And if the SP is as good as last year's, then that would be good. Thanks for the props!
