SEC Tournament: No. 12 Florida vs. Tennessee

Florida and Tennessee will square off for the third time this season; the Gators defeated the Volunteers in an 81-75 overtime thriller in Knoxville, TN on Jan. 12 and a 61-60 nailbiter in Gainesville one month later. In the first contest, Florida saw all five starters score in double figures and the team held off numerous rallies by Tennessee to eventually prevail. The latter game was won by Walker, who scored a team-high 16 points (mosty from the free throw line) and hit a go-ahead layup with 14 seconds remaining to propel his team to victory.

Fast out of the gate but down six at halftime, the No. 12 Florida Gators (25-6) outscored the Tennessee Volunteers (19-14) 56-40 in the second half on their way to a 85-74 victory in the quarterfinals of the 2011 Southeastern Conference Tournament at the Georgia Dome on Friday evening in Atlanta, GA.

Florida fights back to beat Vanderbilt 77-66, advance to SEC Tournament Championship

The No. 12 Florida Gators advance to the 2011 Southeastern Conference Tournament Championship the Gators outscored the Vanderbilt Commodores (23-10) by 19 points in the second half to come out of the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA with a 77-66 victory in the semifinals.

With the win, Florida advances to face No. 16 Kentucky for the SEC Tournament Championship on Sunday. UK will be the third-straight SEC East opponent UF will face in the event. The game airs live at 10 a.m. on ABC.

The swamps are nice. And I went on a service trip there to deal with refugees/illegal immigrants. I love Orlando too. I would love to live in Florida some day. I would prefer L.A. because of the Lakers, but it's a much lower cost of living in Florida. The state government in Cali is going to bankrupt everyone, just like they are in Illinois.

I went to Immokalee Florida (2 hours west of Miami, 1 hour east of Naples) in December to deal with immigrant rights, and help people with English deficiencies. I go to the University of Illinois at Chicago, the program is called Alternative Spring Break. I'm actually going to Memphis on another one of these trips next week. Last year in March, I went to Sanford, Florida (near Orlando), dealing with local poverty and Haiti relief. But we hardly did anything there. We partied hard. I have pictures from there I can't put up anywhere, because I will get in trouble with ASB.

Florida got a higher seed than Kentucky after losing to Kentucky in the SEC Tourney and not being a top ten team all year. Selection comittee, fail.

Not refugees. These were legal immigrants. Immokalee is a very poor place. We also saw this huge lot where workers gather to find work for the day In the farms. IDK if you remember or not, but there was a campaign a few years ago to boycott Taco Bell because the workers wanted a penny per lb increase for the tomatoes they picked. These guys are picking 100+ 32-lb buckets of tomatoes a day. Look up Coalition of Immokalee workers (CIW). I've told them if they ever have issues with Albertson's, come to Chicago

You have Albertsons in Chicago? They took mine away and now I got Fresh And EZ. I hear they are firing their workers if they join the union. It's all f*ckt up.
